AMICAS – Automated Management in Cloud and Sky Computing Environments

This work is supported by a grant of the Romanian National Authority for Scientific Research, CNCS – UEFISCDI
Contract number: 316/24.10.2011
Code: PN-II-ID-PCE-2011-3-0260
Execution period: January 2012-December 2016

Scientific  and Technical  Objectives

O1. Design an architecture ensuring the trade-off between increasing reliability by scaling components over multiple Clouds and reducing costs by keeping a low inter-Cloud communication;
O2. Design decentralized algorithms for automated Sky computing environments that are capable to be distributed across several Clouds for increased reliability and make management decisions based on local knowledge ensuring low inter-Cloud communication and high scalability;
O3. Implement, test and compare the architecture and the algorithms with the most similar approaches and detect the possibility of integration of the software prototypes in other technical solutions for Cloud and Sky computing.
